The NextPoint Pathway
NextPoint Volleyball is designed to complement, not replace, your current club environment.
We believe club volleyball is essential. Our role is to add value beyond regular team training by providing perspective, education, and insight that many athletes do not receive until later in their careers.
NextPoint does not take athletes away from their clubs.
Club training provides:
Team systems
Match play
Weekly structure
Competition experience
NextPoint exists to support that foundation by offering:
Extra technical refinement
Game understanding at a higher level
Exposure to NCAA standards and expectations
Our sessions are intended to be an addition, not an alternative.
Athletes may take part in skill-specific sessions alongside their club commitments.
These sessions focus on:
Position-specific technical details
Serve and serve-receive development
Footwork, timing, and efficiency
Training at a pace that reflects higher-level expectations
This allows athletes to return to their club environment more confident, more consistent, and more aware of their role on the court.
Improvement accelerates when athletes understand why things happen, not just how.
Our video analysis sessions are led by current NCAA players and focus on:
Breaking down individual technique
Understanding decision-making in real match situations
Identifying habits that help or limit progression
Learning how the game is viewed at the college level
These sessions help athletes:
See the game differently
Recognise patterns earlier
Take ownership of their development
This understanding transfers directly back into club training and competition.
For athletes considering college volleyball, NextPoint offers NCAA guidance sessions.
These are education-based conversations, not recruiting promises.
Athletes can speak directly with a current NCAA player who:
Came through the system themselves
Made the transition from England to the US
Understands the challenges, timelines, and realities involved
Topics include:
How the NCAA system actually works
Differences between divisions and levels
When to start preparing
What coaches look for
Common mistakes athletes make
How the system works
Top tips to get recruited
What life as a student-athlete is really like
This is honest, first-hand insight
By combining:
Club training
Additional on-court refinement
Higher-level video understanding
Honest NCAA guidance
Athletes are able to:
Train with clearer intent
Understand expectations earlier
Avoid misinformation
Take the next step prepared, when the time is right
